Hi there! I’m Dr. Paul Fairbairn, a dedicated performance nutritionist with over a decade of experience in the field. My passion for nutrition began in my early years, inspired by cooking and baking with my Mum. As I grew older, so did my curiosity about the science behind nutrition, which has lead me to where I am now.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science and both an MSc and PhD in Nutrition. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a variety of athletes, translating the latest scientific research into practical, effective nutrition strategies. I’m a registered nutritionist, a clean sport advisor, and an ISAK accredited anthropometrist. As well as my work with athletes I have six years of experience in higher education as a lecturer in Nutrition and Exercise Science, where I have developed the curriculum and taught on nutrition and sport and exercise science programmes. My work has been recognised globally, earning me an award for excellence in early career researchers.
My approach is rooted in utilising both cutting-edge scientific research and client training data to create practical strategies that optimise both performance and health. I have observed the detrimental effects of misguided nutritional advice and am committed to providing evidence-based support. My objective is to reshape how athletes perceive food and their bodies, promoting peak performance without unnecessary dietary restrictions.
I collaborate closely with my clients, ensuring that each nutrition plan is tailored to their specific goals and fits seamlessly into their lifestyle.
When I’m not helping athletes, I’m training for triathlon or indulging my love for baking.
